さらば「青ガエル」

丸みを帯びた緑色の車体から「青ガエル」の愛称で親しまれてきた人気車両「５０００形」が２月１４日の夜、営業運行を終え引退しました。
昭和２９年に東京急行電鉄東横線でデビューしてから６０年余りで、
全国で唯一、運行されていた熊本電気鉄道の現役最後の１両の雄姿を目に焼き付けようと、
全国から大勢の鉄道ファンが熊本へ集まりました。
