任天堂のゲームキャラ、マリオ。
赤い帽子に青いオーバーオール、口ヒゲを生やして跳ねまわる配管工。
デビューしたのは、1981年にアーケード版『ドンキーコング』。
この時は、まだ大工という設定だったそうです。
名前もマリオではなく、「ジャンプマン」だったらしい。
